Financial Budgeting

Member Position

If a company requires Member Position functionality, it can be setup under the Financial > Member Remuneration > Position per fiscal set.
Member position codes will remain in a “Home cost centre” but can be transferred between cost centres.
Members are assigned to a position code per period and can be transferred (with full component values) between position codes in a cost centre and between different position codes in different cost centres.


If a member is transferred to another position, then the original position becomes vacant.  A new member can then be budgeted against that vacant position.
NOTE! The Position codes are not linked to categories.

If setup, the Position option will display under Member Movements when editing a Member.
Position is an optional field, and the user can save a Member without selecting any Position.

Select the applicable position from the Member Position pop-up. Only the positions linked to the cost centre selected will display in the pop-up.

Change Employee Position button was added as well as dropdowns to accommodate member position transfers.

Imports – Member Position

New import has been added to allow for Position setup:

The “Member Attribute Period” import was also amended to allow the Position to be imported per member and per period if required.
If import switch ‘Replace Existing Member Positions’ is ticked, then the Positions contained in the import will replace any existing Positions selections for the members contained in the import template
If the switch is unticked, then the Positions contained in the import will be added to the existing positions for the members contained in the import template, in the specified fiscal set.

Reports – Member Position

The “Member Attribute Period” report was amended to include Member position if setup.

User Switch CU

A new User Switch CU – “Disable member transfers between Positions” has been added under Member Remuneration.

If setup, the Position option will display for the Member under the Movements tab.


“Change Member Position” option has been added to the Member menu Dropdown and Bulk Transfer Members popup.






Also when adding a new member:



Member Reports Updated
Applicable Member Reports were updated to display the Positions - if setup for the members.

  Administrator Module Financial Budgeting Module Dashboard – New ‘Member Account & Component Recon’ Widget A new dashboard widget has been added to provide a reconciliation between the Member component values and the values rolled up to the budget at cost centre and account level. Important Notice: Microsoft is ending support for MS SQL 2014 in July 2024.

  As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 9, 2024, Microsoft will officially end support for MS SQL 2014   Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL? End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU? In the future, customers running SQL 2014 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.
