Financial Budgeting and Reporting

Cost Centre Structure Profile

A Structure Profile can now be created for a Cost Centre structure as well to display on “Financial Budgeting Summary - Cost Centre” view on Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting modules on Client. 
The Structure Profile enables users to create a custom profile for their cost centre structures which allows them to customise several formatting options and graphically present IDU cost centre structures in Client in a format closer to what accountants are familiar with.
Navigating to Profiles > Layout Profile > Structure profile the user can setup a custom profile for a Cost Centre Structure by selecting “Cost Centre” in the “Structure type” dropdown on the “Details” tab as per below:


Select required formatting options on the “Rows” tab and link it to several Fiscal Sets and to required Layout Profiles on the following tabs



Layout Profile

The added Cost Centre Structure profile can also be linked to a Layout Profile on “Cost Centre Structure Profile” tab and will appear in combination with selected layout profile on “Financial Budgeting Summary - Cost Centre” view on Client.



Ratios - Formatting and Ordering

This enhancement allows the admin user to define the following formatting to the Ratios on Dashboard: Border, Font, Font Style, Font Colour and Background Colour.
Select The Formatting Button for the Formatting section to expand.
Move Up/Down arrows have been added to allow the user to arrange the Ratio listing as required.
Income Statement and Balance Sheet Ratio groupings have been added to the scroll view so that the Ratios can be grouped according to their Account Structure - same as currently on the Ratio widget:
-          If the existing Ratios only include Income Statement Accounts, they are displayed under the Income Statement grouping.
-          If the existing Ratios include Balance Sheet Accounts only or Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts, they are displayed under the Balance Sheet grouping.

Admin User Security - Member Cost Centre Access
User switch MS - ‘Apply Cost Centre-based Member security in Admin’ has been added to enable Cost Centre – Member security in the admin module.


Selecting the switch:
-          The Admin user will not be able to see Members sitting in Cost Centres in Admin module, to which the admin user does not have Member Posting Cost Centre Access.
Such Members will be:
o    Not included under Exports > Financial > Member.
o    Not included under Reports > Financial > Member Remuneration > Member.
o    Hidden from the Member Generic List page and not included in ‘Export’ and SQL Report, when the admin user selects the ‘Print’ button on this page.
o    Hidden from the Bulk Delete control.
o    If a member was transferred to a cost centre with a revoked access – the values will be hidden on edit (see the example below).
o    The ability to transfer a member to a cost centre with a revoked member posting access will depend on user switch ‘TA - Allow Member Transfers to All Cost Centres’.
-          The admin user will not be able to grant himself Member Posting Cost Centre Access under Security > User > Financial Cost Centre tab > Member Posting Cost centre tab.
-          The Admin user will still be restricted in Client based on the Admin user’s Member Cost Centre Access (current functionality).
See example – member posting cost centre access to 101 cost centre revoked for an admin user:

If a member was transferred to 101 Cost Centre in later periods – the values are hidden for such periods.

Revenue Budgeting
Integrated Revenue Fiscal Set extended to 5 future years
Five future years can now be added to an integrated Revenue fiscal set allowing users to capture into up to six fiscal sets on the same screen.
 Annual, Half years and Quarters options are applicable to Revenue budget type to allow the ease of use. Only Monthly view is available on Super Allocation budget type.

Cost Centre Structure Profile

If Cost Centre Structure Profile is setup on administrator module and linked to a selected layout profile - the following graphic presentation of the Cost Centre structure can be available on “Financial Budgeting Summary - Cost Centre” view on Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting modules.



Revenue Budgeting

Integrated Revenue Fiscal Set extended to 5 future years

Five future years can now be added to an integrated Revenue fiscal set allowing users to capture into up to six fiscal sets on the same screen.
Annual, Half years and Quarters options have been added to the Revenue budget type to allow the ease of use.
Only Monthly view is available on Super Allocation budget type.  
Import and Export files have been amended to include all 5 years.



Asset Reporting

Asset Compact Screen Enhancements

Asset Compact screens have been amended to display the asset descriptions in full.
 “Book Per Period” and “Asset Optional Fields” options have been added to provide more information on assets.

  Administrator Module Financial Budgeting Module Dashboard – New ‘Member Account & Component Recon’ Widget A new dashboard widget has been added to provide a reconciliation between the Member component values and the values rolled up to the budget at cost centre and account level. Important Notice: Microsoft is ending support for MS SQL 2014 in July 2024.

  As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 9, 2024, Microsoft will officially end support for MS SQL 2014   Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL? End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU? In the future, customers running SQL 2014 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.
