Microsoft to end support for Internet Explorer 11

Microsoft will end support for Internet Explorer 11 across its Microsoft 365 apps and services on August 17th, 2021, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported for Microsoft’s online services like Office 365, OneDrive, Outlook, and more. 

Wix no longer supports live sites on IE11. The IDU Website and Training Academy Videos are hosted using Wix. They have already ended their support of IE 11.

If you're using Internet Explorer, we recommend that you instead update to the latest version of Microsoft Edge or another supported browser on PC - Chrome or Firefox. Download Microsoft Edge.

Reasons for switching to an updated browser:

We strongly recommend that you switch to an updated browser version for the following reasons:

  • Security: Microsoft no longer provides security updates for older versions of Internet Explorer, and soon may cease providing security updates for the browser altogether for newer operating systems. **Without critical browser security updates, your PC may become vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal or damage your business data and information.
  • Tech Support: Microsoft no longer provides tech support or fixes for older versions of Internet Explorer and may soon cease to provide support for the browser on newer operating systems.
  • Compliance: Businesses that are governed by regulatory obligations such as HIPAA must ensure that the software they are using is up to date and compliant with these regulations.
  • Lack of ISV Support: Many Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) no longer support Internet Explorer. For example, Office 365 takes advantage of modern web standards and runs best with the latest browser.

Important Notice: Microsoft is ending support for MS SQL 2014 in July 2024.

  As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 9, 2024, Microsoft will officially end support for MS SQL 2014   Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL? End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU? In the future, customers running SQL 2014 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.
