ADMINISTRATOR MODULE

Dashboard

Layout profile switch

New Layout profile switch “Show On Dashboard Only” has been added to Layout Profile screen to all modules.

Admin users can now create a layout profile that will only be used for dashboard selection and not show in the classic view drop-downs.

 


  


User Tab Security

Selecting Dashboard Settings   - new “Security” tab is now available where Administrator can grant the users access per Dashboard tab.

If no access has been granted for a user – the user won’t see any Dashboards on Client.

 


   


Financial Budgeting and Reporting

Cross Tabs

Column filter functionality has been added to Layout Profiles to allow the admin user to build ‘Cross Tab’ views in the Financial Budgeting Enterprise and Financial Reporting Enterprise modules. This functionality allows the users to compare the cost centre values in columns across the screen in client.

Layout Profile - Cross Tabs

Select “Column Filter Definition” under Profiles > Layout Profile to define which Cost centres or Cost centre groupings can be used as columns in client. This is the list that will be available for setup under the Layout Profile – Dimension – Cost Centre filter:

 


Cost Centre type is available for the setup - posting or summary level:

 


“Cost Centre Filter” column has been added to Layout Profile – Dimension. The list of Cost Centres and Cost centre groupings as defined under Profiles > Layout Profile > Column Filter Definition will be available for selection.

If one or more Layout Profile columns have Cost Centre Filter selections, then a limit of 50 columns will be applied to such Layout Profile. 



Import - Cross Tabs

Admin users can now upload cost centres for Column Filter Definition into IDU using the following new import under Imports > Profiles > Layout Profile > Column Filter Definition:


Security – User Module Switch LS

New Security User Module Switch LS – “Apply Cost Centre Security to Layout Profile Filters” has been added to the Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting switches under “General” switches.

If the user has switch ‘LS - Apply Cost Centre Security to Layout Profile Filters’ ticked, then User Cost Centre security will be taken into account when Cost Centre filters are applied to Layout Profile columns.

If the user has switch ‘LS - Apply Cost Centre Security to Layout Profile Filters’ unticked, then User Cost Centre security will be ignored when Cost Centre filters are applied to Layout Profile columns.

 


 

Commitments

Layout Profile dimension columns have been added for Commitments Values to display in Financial Budgeting and Reporting.

Layout Profile - Financial Budgeting

Selecting “Add Dimension” button on the Main tab – the user can setup the Commitments columns for Financial Budgeting – Classic view screens:


 

  

Financial Reporting – Main Tab 

“Define/View Journal Commitment layout” button has been added on the Main tab on the Layout Profile Maintenance screen of a Financial Reporting layout profile:


 

 Selecting the “Define/View Journal Commitments layout” button, the user can setup the Commitments Journal Layout Profile.

 


Selecting “Add Dimension” button on the Main tab – the user can setup the Commitments columns for Financial Reporting – Classic view:

 


 Financial Reporting – Month Tab

“Add Dimension” button has been added to the Month tab:

 


 Selecting “Add Dimension” button on the Month tab – the user can setup the Commitments columns for Financial Reporting – Overview tab:


 

Variance Analysis Profile

“Include Commitments” checkbox has been added on the Attribute tab on the Variance Analysis Profile Layout Maintenance screen.

When checked, commitment values will be included in variance calculation on Variance Analysis screen in client.


 

Imports - Commitments

Admin users can now upload Commitments into IDU and add Layout profile columns to display the values on client.

New imports have been added for

•            Cost Centre Account Value Commitment

•            Cost Centre Account Value Commitment Journals.


Exports - Commitments

New exports have been added for

•            Commitment Account Balance Export

•            Commitment Journal Export

 


 Security – User Module Switch X

New Security User Module Switch X – “Allow Journal Commitment Reporting” has been added to the Financial Reporting switches under “Journals”.

If switch X has been selected for a user, then on the Month drill down on each month’s tab, and on the YTD tab, the ‘Commitments’ sub tab will be displayed.


 

Allow users to create Cost Centre Account Combinations in Client

Security – User Module Switches CC and CR

The following two user security preference switches CC “Allow user to create Cost Centre Account Combinations in Client” and CR “Allow user to revoke Cost Centre Account Combinations in Client” have been added to the “General” section under Financial Budgeting Enterprise, Standard and Light.

If the user has switch CC or CR ticked (or both), then the new button   “Cost Centre – Account Allocation” will be displayed on the button bar on Client.

 


 

Itemised Optional Field Parameter Dropdown

Optional Field dropdown functionality has been added to the Itemised budget type.

Up to five new Optional Field Parameter dropdown boxes can potentially be added to the Itemised screen on client.

Under Financial > Itemised > Optional Fields Parameters the admin user can create different drop-down options for the optional field parameters.

Alternate Optional Fields 1-5 can be re-named under Profiles > Labels > System token.

 


Import - Itemised Optional Field Parameters

Admin users can also upload Optional Field Parameters for Itemised via import:

 


And Itemised Detail import was amended to include the optional fields.

Financial Modelling

Excel Reporting Added to the Financial Modelling Module

Excel Reporting functionality has been added to the Financial Modelling module:


 

CLIENT MODULE

Dashboard

Layout profile switch

If a layout profile switch “Show on Dashboard Only” has been selected against a layout profile in Admin module, such layout profile will only be used for dashboard selection and not show in the classic view drop-downs.


 

Financial Budgeting

Allow users to create Cost Centre Account Combinations in Client

New button  “Cost Centre – Account Allocation” has been added to allow end users to create and/or revoke Cost Centre Account combinations in client in Financial Budgeting module.

If the access was granted the button will display for the user in the button bar.


 

Selecting the button, the below popup will become available where the user can create or revoke cost centre account combinations for Standard, Fixed and Itemised account budget types.

 

The button will also be available on Standard, Fixed and Itemised budget types on the drill down:


  

Commitments

Layout Profile columns have been added for Commitments Values to display in Financial Budgeting as per admin setup:

 


 Itemised Optional Field Parameter Dropdown

If setup on admin - up to five Optional Field Parameter dropdown boxes can be added to the Itemised screen on client. Client export and import have been updated to include the optional fields.

  As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 9, 2024, Microsoft will officially end support for MS SQL 2014   Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL? End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU? In the future, customers running SQL 2014 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.
