 Administrator Module

Dashboard

All below Dashboard enhancements are applicable to Financial and Sales modules.

Clone Dashboard

“Add”, “Save” and other buttons now display on top of the screen. Also, on Security tab.

A dashboard can now be cloned so that one can quickly and easily create a copy of an existing Dashboard View without having to manually set up a similar Dashboard View from scratch each time.

Going to Dashboard Settings  , select a “Clone Dashboard” icon   - a dashboard will be cloned with the same description and the word “_clone” will append to the existing description.

Double click on the new dashboard name to edit it.

 


Go to Security tab to give the user access for the cloned dashboard (user access will not be cloned when cloning the dashboard). A filter for Users and Save message added. 


Last Refreshed time added

“Last Refreshed” time has been added to the Dashboard below the header buttons: 


 

Dashboard - Charts

New Chart Type – Gauge Chart added

New Chart Type – Gauge Chart have been added to the system.

If % value is negative, then the % gauge will default to zero. If % value is over 100%, then the % gauge will default to 100%. 


 To setup the Gauge chart, select “Format as Percentage” switch on the selected Layout Profile:


   

Toggle Data Labels option added

Toggle Data Labels option has been added under “Configuration options” for Line, Bar, Pie, Donut and Gauge charts.

Selecting the option, the users can see which values are linked to any bars or segments on those charts. Also, when expanding the widget.

The option is not available for the Tile charts.

Without the Toggle Data Labels option selected – the values will be hidden. (Users still can hover over bars or segments to see the values): 


Toggle Grid Lines option added

Toggle Grid Lines option has been added under “Configuration options”.

Selecting the option, the users can see which values line up for Bar or Line charts.

See below with the Toggle Grid Lines option selected:

Without the Toggle Grid Lines option selected – the lines will be hidden. 


Hide columns from the chart widget

The columns can now be hidden from the chart widget instead of crossing them out on the widget.

Selecting Chart Parameters, “Layout profile columns” dropdown has been added: 


Selecting the arrow on “Layout profile columns” – the available columns are highlighted: 


Unselect the unwanted columns by clicking on them and select “Apply” button – the columns will be hidden on the chart widget:  


View Child Level Data

Users can now compare data for different summary accounts placed directly under one top level summary account.

Also, for Cost Centres, Products and Customers.

Selecting Chart Parameters, “Data Display” dropdown has been added for Bar, Line, Pie and Donut charts with the following 2 options:

•            Default

•            Detail

 

Selecting the “Detail” option on “Data Display” and “Actual – CM(CY)” and “Budget – CM (CY)” Layout profile columns – the Bar chart will include the data for “Payroll”, “Other Expenses” and “Fixed Charges” – which are the child level summary accounts under the “Operational Expenses” summary account: 


 

On the Pie and Donut charts the summary child level detail can only be displayed for one Layout profile column.

On the below example, “Budget – CM (CY)” layout profile column is selected for a Donut chart:

Profiles

Structure Profile scroll view

The Structure Profile screen have been converted to use the scroll view – “Save” buttons were replaced with auto-save functionality, making changes, and clicking away will save the changes done on the row.


  

Run Rate Enhancement - Select Specific Prior Periods

Users can now select specific prior periods for Run Rate Parameters in Financial Budgeting module.

The Run Rate Parameters imports and exports were amended to include the columns “Escalation or Use Month” and “Prior Year”:

 


 


Imports

Admin Imports - Closed XML

Admin Imports are now using Closed XML to read Import data.

It is a more modern framework for loading import data that offers some improvements in terms of performance and better support for different culture configurations.

 

Financial Budgeting

Account Description – 150 characters

 

Account Description now allows up to 150 characters.

 


  

Import - Project Budget Values and Layout Profile Field Values Combined

‘Project Layout Profile Field Values’ import is now included in the ‘Project Budget/Forecast Values’ import.

Layout Profile Field Values can now be imported as columns rather than rows.

For Import > Financial > Project > Project Budget/Forecast Values import two new checkboxes have been added on the import page:

•            Import Budget/Forecast Values,

•            Import Layout Profile Field Values.

Selecting both switches Budget/Forecast Values and Layout Profile Field Values can be updated with one import.

 


  

Export - Project Budget Values and Layout Profile Field Values Combined

‘Project Layout Profile Field Values’ export is now included in the ‘Project Budget/Forecast Values’ export.

 


 

Selecting the ‘Export’ button, then if switch ‘Exclude Layout Profile Field Values’ is unticked, the Budget/Forecast columns and values will be included, as well as all Layout Profile columns and data as per selected filters.

The ‘Layout Profile Field Data’ columns (with headings as per the Layout Profile Column Codes) will be included to the right of the ‘Financial Comment’ column:

 


 

Client Module

Financial Budgeting

 

Project - Import and Export

‘Layout Profile Field Values’ checkbox has been added to Project budgeting export and import on Client.

Selecting the ‘Layout Profile Field Value’ checkbox the Budget/ Forecast columns and values, as well as all data for the Layout Profile columns displayed on screen will be exported to the right of the ‘Financial Comment’ column:

 


 Also, on client import - selecting the ‘Layout Profile Field Value’ checkbox the Budget/ Forecast columns and values, as well as data for the Layout Profile columns can be imported.

 


 

Financial Budgeting

Run Rate Enhancements - Select Specific Prior Periods

Users can now select specific prior periods for Run Rate Parameters in Financial Budgeting module.

Clicking on a Posting Account that has a Straight or Compound run rate spread factor selected - the ‘Number of Months’ menu option has been changed to ‘Months’.

The included periods will be highlighted in pink.

The client import and export were updated accordingly.

 


The users can select/ deselect any months and the calculation for the open forecast periods would now be the average of the selected Actual periods for Straight run rate and Compound run rate will only include the selected periods.
