Administrator Module

SQL upgrade to 2016+

5.9.1 is now only compatible with SQL2016 or higher to be in-line with Microsoft-supported versions.

Dashboard – re-sizeable dashboard widgets

Dashboard charts can now be re-sized down to a quarter of the previous minimal tile size – allowing you to fit more visual information onto a single dashboard than before.


 AI Help license

A new AI Help interface allows users to type natural language questions and receive immediate answers from IDU help documentation.

The below license will be supplied by IDU for setup, when upgrading to the latest patch:

 

Financial Budgeting

Activity – Category - Assign Input - Expand/Collapse and Search Bar Added

We improved the Activity screens usability when assigning inputs, global assumptions, global assumption groups and assumption matrix to the Categories.

• The expandable groups have been added – the users can now expand just the section that needs to be assigned from.

Financial Budgeting and Reporting – Layout Profile

Layout Profile - YTD and Closing Balance Dimension columns

Previously, to create Year to Date or Closing Balance columns in IDU we needed to create formula columns to add the opening balance and monthly movements together:

Year to Date columns up to any given month or a current period can now be created using the Dimensions – Data Set Range - Year to Date option:

 


“Year to Date” Data Set Range is available for the following Data Set column options on a Financial Reporting module:

Clone Layout Profiles between Enterprise, Standard and Light modules

Layout Profiles now can be cloned between Enterprise, Standard and Light modules

- to make the setup and administration of layout profiles easier for clients running multi-module environments.

This applies to Financial Budgeting and Reporting Modules:

Export – Cost Centre Account Actuals Value - Year Multi Select

Several actual years can now be selected on’ Cost Centre Account Actuals Value’ admin export:


Financial Budgeting and Reporting – User Security

User Switch AC - Allow Comment Capture – for Enquiry Only users

If a user has Financial Budgeting - Enquiry Only license:


Such user can now capture comments in client Classic view and Budget type screens, if the new User Switch “AC – Allow Comment Capture” is assigned against the user:


 The switch AC will only be displayed if the “Enquiry Only” license is assigned against that user. 

Same applies for Financial Reporting – Enquiry Only module:


User Switch ACF - Allow comment capture on closed Fiscal Sets

Previously only admin users were able to capture comments on Closed Fiscal Sets.

User switch ACF has been added to the “General” section to allow comment capture for client users as well on Closed Fiscal Sets - on Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting modules.


User Switches AE, AG and AP - Automatically Assign Cost Centre Access

This new feature allows Summary and Posting Cost Centre Access to be automatically granted to selected users when the new Cost Centres are added to the system:

  • via import
  • manually
  • or via integration.

This can be done by assigning the new user security switches under “General” switches section:

  • AG - ‘Auto Grant All Summary Cost Centre Access’

And

  • AP - ‘Auto Grant All Posting Cost Centre Capture Access’  

Or

  • AE - ‘Auto Grant All Posting Cost Centre Enquiry Access’ (switches AP and AE cannot be granted simultaneously as the user can have either Capture or Enquiry access to the same cost centre).

Under Financial Budgeting module:

Once the above switches have been granted for a user, the admin user will no longer need to manually assign the new cost centre access to the user as the system will do this automatically.


User Switch AU - Apply user-based Cost Centre and Account Structure access in Admin

If there are multiple Cost Centre Structures and Account Structures in the system -

new user switch “AU” has been added under “General” switches for user-based Cost Centre and Account Structure access in Admin for Financial Budgeting and Financial Reporting modules.


Selecting certain Cost Centre Structures under Security > User > Structures > Cost Centre Structures:


 And going to Financial > Cost Centre > Structures listing screen, only the assigned Cost Centre structures will be displayed:

 


Same is applicable for the Account Structure access.

Financial Modelling Module

Layout Profiles – Default Attribute Column Settings

Default column settings have been added to Financial Modelling Module.

Now it is possible to choose to Show amounts as thousands, Show Revenue As Positives, Reverse Signage, Column Alignment and to adjust Column Width:

 


The result will apply to both Top-Down budgeting and to Financial Modelling Assumption fiscal sets.

S&O Planning and Reporting Module

Sales Planning and Reporting Modules Renamed to S&O Planning and Reporting

Sales Planning has been renamed to S&O Planning and Sales Reporting to S&O Reporting – which stands for Sales and Operations:

 


Module labels can also be renamed under Profiles > Labels > Module Labels screen to fit any description that your organization chooses:

  


Client Module

 AI Help

A new AI Help interface allows users to type natural language questions and receive immediate answers from IDU help documentation. This feature enhances user support and system usability without requiring external assistance.

Available To:   All IDU-Concept clients hosted on the IDU Azure Cloud and on Premise (minor consulting setup required).

Examples of supported questions:

  • How to capture a Capex budget
  • How to finalize a budget
  • How to change the dashboard widget period

Access Path: Bottom of the IDU-Concept screen → Click “AI Help”
