Release Notes: Version 5.10 - New Features & Enhancements

IDU version 5.10.0 introduces significant automation and efficiency improvements across multiple modules. 

Key features include the automatic creation of new reporting periods, enhanced foreign currency translation reserve calculations, and dynamic quarterly column updates in Financial Reporting.

 Additionally, the Asset Reporting module now supports QR code labels for faster asset verification, and Excel report functionalities have been enhanced to maintain sheet protection and allow table formatting.

  Administrator Module Financial Budgeting Module Dashboard – New ‘Member Account & Component Recon’ Widget A new dashboard widget has been added to provide a reconciliation between the Member component values and the values rolled up to the budget at cost centre and account level. The toggle button is available for the Tabular View   The filter option  is available to filter by account or component values: Layout Profile - Ratio Display Switch The ‘Enable Ratio Display’ switch allows for the admin user to choose whether or not ratios should be displayed in each layout profile column. The switch has been added to “Default Attributes” screen, Dimension and other Layout Profile columns, except Variance Formula and Optional fields. Important Notice: Microsoft is ending support for MS SQL 2014 in July 2024.

  As we are sure you are already aware, as of July 9, 2024, Microsoft will officially end support for MS SQL 2014   Why must we upgrade to a later version of MS SQL? End of support means regular security updates will no longer be provided. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running applications and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. What does this mean in terms of our investment in IDU? In the future, customers running SQL 2014 or earlier may not have access to new releases of IDU, including new features and functionality released in the system. We would therefore highly recommend that customers upgrade to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.
